Vol. 1 Highlights

Last Thursday among all the CMJ hoopla a good group of people made it out to Greenpoint for the first installment of our reading series Vol. 1 at Bar Matchless.

Our host Bob Powers read from his adult choose your own adventure book You are a Miserable Excuse for a Hero...
I felt pretty good as the crowd seemed to make the right decisions in the adventure and in the long run everything worked out fine.

As for the rest of the evening, our storytellers Charlie Buckholtz, Minju Pak and Ray Raposa set the tone for future installments of the series to come.
Raposa's guitar backed piece provided the perfect bridge to the music to follow, Adron, Princeton, Salt and Samovar and Pepi Ginsberg were all wonderful.

Thanks to all the above artists and all the folks that came out and helped raise funds, awareness, and books for Books Through Bars.
