Hex Education Journal is proud to bring you the first installment of our live event Nights of Curious Wonder.
For this first edition, we bring together 4 groups and one artist who uses both sound and vision to tickle your mental fancy.

Leading off the night is Jeff from Los Angeles. Strange, madcap, mysterious songster(s) from the west coast. Starting their mini-tour of the East Coast. Followed up by Ellen Mary McGee. A lady who enchanted us last summer when she played the first Diamond Days Festival in Brooklyn. Ellen plays a blend of Vashti Bunyan, Current 93, and Pentangle. She was easily the best surprise of the fest last year.
Following Ellen will be a very special performance from Mahasiddhi + Snyder's Crackle Amoeba Light Show, leading us into two very special performances by artists off the Language of Stone label ran by Greg Weeks of Espers.
Silver Summit has just released their self titled debut album, and terms such as "magical" and "other-worldly" are totally acceptable when describing this duo. Live, they bring a group of players together that might transform Cake Shop into a floating vessel to take everybody away to a place far from the Lower East Side.
Once you hear Silver Summit, you will know that scenario is totally possible.
Rounding off the bill is the Brooklyn band that truly lives up to their name. The gentlemen in Heavy Hands are simply put, the sweetest (pardon my French) fucking power trio in New York. They pull this Groundhogs with Neil Young at his loudest while hanging out in a loft in Germany, sometime in the late 60's trick that has left even the purest totally awe struck. They bring the truth and will close out this monster evening.

The cost is 7 Dollars. The event begins at 8PM.
