Reviewed: Bowerbirds

Hymns for a Dark Horse
Dead Oceans

Do you know what makes me love this album? The fact that the title of this album actually gives me the feeling the song's bring. Bowerbirds ability to create song's that sound like the haunted roads leading all points south, past unmarked graves of Confederate soldiers and Wildwood Flowers that spring up all over the landscape that stretches back into the darkest corners of the region.

It's might not sound as such, but it is the sort of peace that very few (myself included) can really grasp, but I love the sound of it.
Brings to mind spookies with beards like Will Oldham, Black Heart Procession, and Iron and Wine.
