Partied: Midnite Till Death

Midnite Till Death No. 15

We already talked about how much we love the Pogo in Togo party a few weeks back. Now there is another free, monthly party at Cake Shop is gives us hope for the Lower East Side.

One Friday Friday night every 30 days or so, host Nicholas Gazin throws this fucked up fiesta of garage rock goodness with an assortment of bands that play the kind of music that pretty much anybody with half a brain can dig. He calls it Midnite Till Death.

We brought our camera along to this last party and took a few shots of New Yorks sloppers Abducteens. A trio who obviously know the difference between The Gories and Willie Dixion but are hellbent on splicing the two together.

Next up for the party, Sept. 19 will feature (among others) The Golden Error. A band that makes us really weepy for the golden days of Gravity Records, Born Against and just a general time when things seemed better in retrospect (but probably sucked nonetheless).
It's free. Don't be a bozo and not go.

The Host. Enjoying himself.
